Awards 2022 Scholarships
The Hancock Group Employees and Associates Foundation awarded two Scholarships at the Annual Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation luncheon on May 5, 2022. The awards luncheon was held at the Blair County Convention Center. Recipients of the 2022 scholarships were McCailey Flaugh and Luke Knisley both from Central High School in Martinsburg. McCailey will be attending Penn State Altoona Campus majoring in Business Administration. Luke will be attending James Madison University majoring in Finance. Luke was valedictorian of the class and in his address to his fellow classmates he indicated that he wants to serve in public office, help others and contribute to his community. We congratulate both of our scholarship winners on their graduation and wish them success in all they pursue.
The Hancock Group, Inc. was the first group of employees to start a Charitable Foundation with the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation. Since the inception of the foundation on November 11, 2003, a total of 37 scholarships have been awarded to high school students bound for college. Over $48,425 has been distributed for scholarships, worthwhile projects to non-profit organizations, and memorials for clients and friends who have passed away. Contributions to the Foundation are made by employees and associates through fundraising efforts and payroll deductions.
